A multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to address all aspects of a child’s health, development, and learning. Services include Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychotherapy, Functional Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, Neurofeedback, and Play Therapy. Role Description

This is a full‑time hybrid role for a Speech and Language Therapist, primarily based in Crowborough with the option to work from home for appropriate tasks such as report writing, planning, and virtual consultations. The Speech and Language Therapist will assess, diagnose, and provide evidence‑based interventions for children and young people with a range of speech, language, and communication needs. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include conducting individual and group therapy sessions in the centre, at home or within schools, developing and reviewing therapy plans, and producing clear, timely assessment reports. The role also involves collaborating closely with families, educators, and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care and consistent support strategies. The therapist will contribute to service development, participate in regular supervision and team meetings, and maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical skills in Speech Therapy, including assessment, intervention planning, and outcome monitoring.
  • Experience working with a range of Communication Disorders, supporting children and young people with varied communication needs including the use of AAC.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in managing Language Disorders, including receptive and expressive language difficulties.
  • Experience with Autism, PDA, ADHD, or neurodevelopmental conditions is a necessity.
  • Experience with attachment and trauma difficulties is preferable.
  • Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy and current registration with HCPC is essential. Registration with RCSLT is preferable.
  • Experience working with children and young people, ideally in multidisciplinary or educational settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust with children, families, and professionals.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, including the ability to manage a varied caseload and meet documentation deadlines.
  • Comfort with hybrid working, including use of digital tools for teletherapy, record‑keeping, and communication.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and ongoing professional development. All applicants will undergo safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS check.
