- A strong understanding of hotel PMS and POS systems; Opera experience would be advantageous.
- Excellent Excel skills and proficiency in hotel accounting software.
- Sage 200 experience is highly desirable, but not essential.
- The ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-finance heads of department.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own workload and work effectively within a cross‑functional team.
- A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, or qualified by experience gained in the hotel industry.
- The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Available to start immediately or at short notice.
Your Responsibilities
As Cluster Finance Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the Income Audit function, ensuring night audit packs and banking reports are accurate and compliant with company audit requirements.
- Maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard hotel revenues.
- Managing the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring invoices are sent to partners in a timely manner and payments are collected within the company credit policy timeframe.
- Supervising the Accounts Payable Assistant, ensuring all invoices for goods received are processed efficiently and accurately.
- Supporting the Cluster Financial Controller with the monthly payment runs.
- Performing regular bank reconciliations for all entities.
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly Profit & Loss statements, journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations in line with USALI standards.
- Reviewing and processing the monthly inventory reports received from departments at month end.
- Oversee the Rooms commission process on Onyx and Opera to ensure travel agents are paid in timely manner
- Processing petty cash claims for all entities and preparing cheques for settlement.
- Overseeing the cashiering carried out by the night auditors and depositing cash into the bank.
- Ensuring compliance with all internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Assisting with internal and external audits.
- Carrying out any other ad hoc duties as required by the operation and the department.
