Your Impact as SENCO
Working closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team, you will:
- Lead the strategic development of SEND policy and provision
- Monitor the quality and impact of SEND support across the school
- Contribute to school improvement planning and self-evaluation
- Oversee EHCP processes, funding applications, and provision planning
- Ensure SEND practice aligns with the SEND Code of Practice
- Identify needs early and coordinate effective interventions
- Lead social, emotional and mental health support programmes
- Promote positive behaviour and remove barriers to learning
- Support reintegration of pupils following absence or suspension
- Coach pupils to develop confidence, independence, and resilience
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds QTS
- Has completed (or is working towards) the National Award for SEN Coordination
- Is passionate about inclusive education
- Can inspire, mentor, and lead colleagues
- Builds strong relationships with pupils, parents, and external agencies
