Are you calm, caring and passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive?

We’re recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Autism (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) across a range of outstanding specialist schools.

These roles are ideal for people with experience in:
Personal care and sensory needs
Supporting non-verbal students or alternative communication (PECS, Makaton)
Behaviour regulation and emotional support
Helping students build life skills and independence

The Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Days Required: Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4pm (Fulltime)
Pay: £85 – £95 per day
Location: Wimbledon
Type: Agency (Either Temporary to Permanent or Ongoing Contract)

What we’re looking for:

Experience working closely with children and young adults.
SEN experience – This can be through professional or family environments.
Good education certification levels in English and Maths.
A confident and independent individual.
Flexibility with different working patterns.
Willingness to learn and make a difference within the SEN community.
Happy to assist with personal care and medical routines if required
Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the teachers and offer support for SEN individuals.
Create learning plans for lessons and plan according to different pupils needs.
Provide 1-on-1 small support groups when needed.
Promote positive values, attitudes and good pupil behaviour in line with the school’s policy.
Always follow the safeguarding policies.
Actively taking part in team meetings.
Supporting individual needs, when required, including assisting with a wide range of medical and often, personal care tasks which may include feeding, changing and manual handling (training will be provided by the school).
