How to prepare for a job interview at Starfyn Recruitment

✨Know Your EYFS

Make sure you brush up on your knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Being able to discuss how you implement age-appropriate activities and support children's development will show that you're not just familiar with the guidelines, but that you can apply them effectively in a nursery setting.

✨Showcase Your Compassion

During the interview, be ready to share examples of how you've shown compassion and empathy in your previous roles. Think of specific situations where you made a positive impact on a child's experience, as this will highlight your natural ability to connect with children and create a warm environment.

✨Flexibility is Key

Nursery work can be unpredictable, so demonstrate your flexibility during the interview. Share instances where you've adapted to changing situations or responded quickly to children's needs. This will reassure the interviewer that you can handle the dynamic nature of the role.

✨Prepare Questions

Have a few thoughtful questions ready to ask at the end of your interview. This could be about the nursery's approach to play-based learning or how they support staff development. It shows your genuine interest in the position and helps you assess if it's the right fit for you.
