We are looking for an inspirational, committed and experienced SENCo to join the Starfyn Education Family in a longâterm, fullâtime leadership role within a supportive and inclusive school setting. The school caters for pupils aged 3â11, including a specialist resource base supporting children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). The Role

As SENCo, you will play a key role in leading and developing SEND provision across the school, ensuring all pupils receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially.
The Ideal Candidate
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Have experience working with children with SEND, ideally within a primary setting
- Have completed (or be working towards) the National SENCo Award
- Be passionate about inclusive education and raising outcomes for all pupils
- Have strong leadership and organisational skills
- Be confident working with teachers, parents, and external agencies
- Be able to track progress, analyse data, and implement effective interventions
- Demonstrate excellent communication and relationshipâbuilding skills
Your Main Duties
- Lead and manage the school's SEND provision, ensuring highâquality support for all pupils
- Oversee EHCP processes, reviews, and SEND documentation
- Work closely with teaching staff to ensure inclusive classroom practices
- Provide training, guidance, and support to staff on SEND strategies
- Monitor and track student progress, implementing targeted interventions
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to support pupil outcomes
- Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding policies
- Contribute to the wider leadership and development of the school
