Early Years/Primary SEN LSA (Special Needs Teaching Assistant) South Croydon £90 - £95 per day PAYE. We are looking for empathetic and positive people to join the Starfyn Education Family in a long term, full time, SEN TA role! One of our schools caters for students, aged from 3 to 11 years in an SEN primary school. They support their young children with complex and severe learning difficulties, through a variety of different methods such as supporting their sensory development, both verbal and non-verbal communication and play therapy. We are looking for staff who want to assist children with their progression, as to make a highly valued, positive difference to their lives.

The Role:
- Employment Type: Agency (Either long term Temporary or Temporary - Permanent).
- Days Required: Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4pm (Full time).
- Pay: £90 to £95 per day PAYE (Dependant on experience).
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience of working within a School, College or Provision.
- Child Care Experience through personal or professional experience.
- Special needs experience through family, friends or professional environments.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine, caring attitude.
- An energetic attitude where you want to get involved wherever possible.
- Good general education levels in English and Maths.
- Flexibility with required working patterns.
- A willingness to learn and have a genuine enthusiasm to make a difference.
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualifications or above preferred, but not necessary.
Your Main Duties:
- Offer support for the school’s students before, during and after their lessons.
- Aiding students with their understanding and participation in tasks.
- Help promote each student’s love of learning.
- Actively taking part in team meetings.
- Always follow the regulations pertaining to safeguarding.
- When required, support individual’s needs, including assisting with a wide range of medical and occasionally, personal care tasks and physical support where needed (Training will be provided in giving medical care and support).
- Working either on a 1:1 or group basis to support learning.
- Inspiring and engaging with children with a wide range of additional learning needs.
- Assisting with the personal care needs of pupils, which may include feeding, changing and manual handling (TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL).
