How to prepare for a job interview at Starfyn Recruitment

Know Your EYFS Framework

Make sure you brush up on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework before your interview. Being able to discuss how you’ve applied it in your previous roles will show that you’re not just familiar with it, but that you can effectively implement it in a nursery setting.

Show Your Passion for Child Development

During the interview, share specific examples of how you've supported children's learning and development in the past. Whether it's through play-based activities or personal care routines, demonstrating your enthusiasm and commitment to making a difference will resonate well with the interviewers.

Prepare for Teamwork Questions

Since teamwork is crucial in a nursery environment, be ready to discuss your experiences working collaboratively with colleagues. Think of examples where you contributed to a positive team dynamic or helped resolve conflicts, as this will highlight your communication skills and ability to work well with others.

Ask Thoughtful Questions

At the end of the interview, don’t forget to ask questions! Inquire about the nursery's approach to child development or how they support staff wellbeing. This shows that you’re genuinely interested in the role and want to be part of their supportive environment.
