We are looking for caring, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join the Starfyn Education Family in a long term, full time Nursery Practitioner role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about Early Years development and wants to make a real difference in children’s learning, wellbeing, and growth.
The nursery focuses on supporting children through play-based learning, routine, and structured activities, helping to build confidence, independence, and early social skills. The team is friendly, supportive, and committed to creating a positive environment for both children and staff.
The Role
- Employment Type – Agency (Long Term / Temp to Perm)
- Days Required – Monday to Friday
- Hours – 8:00am to 6:00pm (Full Time)
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children’s early development, ensuring they feel safe, engaged, and supported throughout the day.
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Have a Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (Essential)
- Have experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
- Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Have a caring, patient, and energetic approach
- Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Have a passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing
- Be willing to get involved and contribute to a positive environment.
Your Main Duties:
- Support children throughout the day in learning and play activities
- Assist with the delivery of age-appropriate, engaging activities
- Help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
- Support children’s social, emotional and educational development
- Assist with personal care routines, including feeding, hygiene, and sleep (where required)
- Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
- Follow all safeguarding and health & safety procedures
- Work as part of a team to maintain a high-quality nursery environment
