Starfyn Recruitment is working with a well-established, family-run independent garage in Aldershot that is looking for an experienced Level 3 Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician who takes pride in their work and wants to join a garage where quality comes before quantity. The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles while ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine servicing and vehicle maintenance
- Mechanical repairs across a range of makes and models
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Using modern diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues
- Carrying out inspections and identifying additional work required
- Repairing and replacing components including brakes, suspension, clutches and timing components
- Completing work accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship
- Working closely with the wider workshop team
- Keeping accurate records of work completed
- Ensuring workshop health and safety procedures are followed
What We’re Looking For
To be considered, you’ll need:
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic knowledge
- Ability to confidently service, diagnose and repair vehicles
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A professional and reliable approach
- Pride in producing high-quality work
- Willingness to continue learning and developing technically
Experience with diagnostics, hybrid or electric vehicles would be advantageous, but additional training and development will be available.
Salary & Benefits
You’ll receive a salary of £32,000–£43,000 per year, depending on your experience and technical ability, alongside an excellent benefits package:
- Monday to Friday working – 8:00am–6:00pm
- NO weekends
- 30 days' holiday including Bank Holidays
