Starfish Search is supporting a London Borough to appoint an Interim Head of Fleet and Depot Services to lead fleet, passenger transport and depot operations during a period of change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead fleet, passenger transport and depot services, ensuring compliant and cost-effective delivery
- Hold the Council's HGV Operator's Licence and act as lead officer for all regulated fleet matters
- Oversee key programmes including depot remodelling, decarbonisation and passenger transport improvement
- Manage the Fleet and Depot Services budget and lead on procurement and contract management
- Provide expert advice to senior managers and members on fleet policy, strategy and commissioning
- Lead and develop the Fleet and Depot Services team
About you:
- Senior experience in fleet management, passenger transport or depot services
- Experience within Local Government or a comparable public sector setting
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including HGV Operator Licensing, VOSA, DVLA and TfL requirements
- Strong contract management, financial management and stakeholder engagement skills
