Starfish Search is supporting a London local authority to appoint an Interim IT Engineer to help deliver a portfolio of essential infrastructure and end-user technology projects. We’re looking for a hands-on contractor with strong technical skills – particularly in Autopilot and Windows 11 image builds – who can hit the ground running and support the successful delivery of multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and deploy Windows 11 images using Microsoft Autopilot
- Support key projects across network, server, and end-user computing environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and desktop issues during rollout
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
- Provide technical assurance and documentation as needed
About You:
- Proven experience with Autopilot and Intune, especially in building and deploying Windows 11 images
- Solid background in network infrastructure, Windows Server, and end-user computing
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Confident working independently across multiple IT workstreams
- Previous experience in local government or public sector environments is desirable
This opportunity will pay circa £400 per day (Inside IR35).
