At the heart of this work is a focus on ensuring financial sustainability, operational excellence, and strong support for front‑line services.
The Role
We are seeking an Interim Head of Finance to provide strategic and operational leadership to the finance function during a key transitional period.
This is a hands‑on leadership role with responsibility for financial planning, management reporting, budgeting, statutory accounts, audit, and financial controls.
You will also play a key role in several important priorities, including the year‑end process, annual budgeting cycle, implementation and embedding of a new finance system, and supporting the development of the finance team.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong track record of leading finance functions within complex organisations.
Experience within the charity, public, housing, or wider not‑for‑profit sector would be advantageous, alongside the ability to build credibility quickly with senior stakeholders, provide clear financial insight, and lead teams through periods of change.
This is a full‑time interim appointment for an initial 6-month FTC. Hybrid working is in place, with an expectation of 2‑3 days per week in the London office.
Closing date for applications is Thursday 6th August 2026.
