Starfish Search is supporting a London Borough to appoint an Interim Head of Corporate Contracts. This is a senior leadership assignment within Corporate Facilities Management, responsible for overseeing pan-council contracting and procurement activity. The role will lead on strategy, governance and supplier management across a broad portfolio of high-value facilities management.
You will:
- Lead the corporate contracts and procurement strategy across Facilities Management.
- Oversee a diverse portfolio of high-value FM and ancillary contracts.
- Provide expert advice on contract management, procurement and commercial risk.
- Drive service improvement, cost efficiency and performance across suppliers.
- Lead contract negotiations, renewals, variations and reprocurement activity.
- Ensure compliance with Public Contracts Regulations and internal governance processes.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Develop and embed robust contract management frameworks and reporting.
You will have:
- Extensive experience managing high-value contracts and procurement activity.
- Strong knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and governance.
- Experience within a local authority or wider public sector environment.
- Proven ability to lead strategic supplier relationships and negotiations.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience managing significant budgets.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
