Starfish Search are working with a local authority in Southern England to recruit an Interim BI & Insights Manager. This is a strategic interim role supporting data-led transformation and service improvement across the organisation. You’ll play a key part in helping the council harness insight and intelligence to inform decision-making, drive efficiencies, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll bring a generalist understanding of data and its application across local government services – helping translate complex analysis into meaningful insight that drives delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on the development and delivery of business intelligence and insight strategies that support organisational priorities
- Provide actionable insights to senior leaders, enabling data-informed decisions across services
- Support transformation programmes by identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities through data with a focus on LGR
- Work collaboratively across departments to embed data capability and encourage a culture of evidence-based practice
About You
- An experienced BI and insights professional, ideally with exposure to local government or the wider public sector
- Skilled in interpreting data to support strategic planning, transformation, and performance improvement
- Comfortable working at pace and with autonomy, able to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders
- A clear and confident communicator, able to present data in a meaningful and accessible way
