Starfish Search is supporting a Midlands Council to appoint an Interim Transformation Consultant – Occupational Therapy. This is a key interim role focused on leading a programme of service transformation within the Occupational Therapy function. Working closely with senior leaders and departmental teams, you will drive service improvement, innovation, and sustainable change to enhance outcomes for adults with complex needs.
You Will:
- Lead service transformation, including review of current processes, service improvement initiatives, and team development.
- Develop and implement clear, deliverable improvement plans that strengthen quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Provide expert oversight of clinical and operational matters arising from change programmes.
- Partner with senior leaders and external stakeholders to align OT service priorities with wider council objectives.
- Embed best practice, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making across the service.
You Will Have:
- A degree in Occupational Therapy and professional registration.
- A strong track record of delivering service transformation and managing teams within a local authority or similarly complex public sector setting.
- Experience leading service improvement and operational change at pace.
- Credibility operating in politically sensitive environments and influencing at senior level.
- A pragmatic, delivery-focused leadership style with a clear focus on outcomes.
