Starfish Search is supporting a London Borough to appoint an Interim Environment Enforcement Lead to lead its environmental enforcement function and support the development of a new integrated enforcement service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the environmental enforcement team
- Provide technical expertise on environmental enforcement policy and legislation
- Support the development of a new integrated enforcement service
- Ensure enforcement activity is delivered effectively and consistently
- Drive service improvements and performance management
- Advise senior stakeholders on enforcement matters
- Develop policies, procedures and operational standards
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners
- Prepare reports and updates for senior leadership
About You:
- Experience leading environmental enforcement services within a Local Authority
- Strong knowledge of environmental enforcement legislation and policy
- Experience managing enforcement teams and service performance
- Ability to drive improvement and support service transformation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working in a politically sensitive environment
