STARD is an internationally recognized Austrian R&D specialist business unit of family-owned Stohl Group GmbH, with a focus on motorsport and high performance automotive vehicles. We cover the whole process chain for entire vehicle development, assembly, testing, vehicle operation and racing completely in-house.
Our recently acquired very own proving ground and test track, which also includes an off-road area, is part of our new well-equipped company headquarters located right outside of Vienna, accessible with public transportation and just 15 driving minutes from the Vienna International Airport.
In addition to ICE and EV entire vehicle development, STARD’s focus also lies on the following key areas:
- High performance FIA certified HV battery systems
- High performance Electric Drive Units (integrated and individual E-Motor, Inverter and transmission systems)
- Complete E/E systems for ground, aerial, and marine vehicles
- ICE-ECU and E-VCU software development and calibration
- Advanced Powertrain control strategies including 4WD torque vectoring systems
- Chassis and suspension systems
- Worldwide Racing activity including Rally, Rallycross, Circuit Racing, Offroad, Special programmes (e.g. Pikes Peak, Nürburgring Laprecords)

Job Description
Selection of associated activities include:
- Order process of bespoke in-house designed tailormade components (machined, composite, welded constructions)
- Sales contact to professional customers
- Issue quotes, invoices and delivery notes
- Order process of catalogue and standard parts for prototyping and racing projects
- Close communication with design, prototyping and racing departments
- Maintaining and expanding preferred supplier network
- Negotiation of prices and improving delivery times together with suppliers
- Issuance of purchase Orders (POs) and ensuring timely delivery of those
- Incoming goods and delivery note check
- Dispatch shipments to customers including customs clearance
- Close cooperation with warehouse team to maintain and control stocked parts
- Maintaining order process information and status in internal IT system
- Support accounts department with relevant order related information if required
Profile
- Work experience as a Purchase specialist or Sales specialist (experience in the motorsports industry beneficial)
- Accurate, organized and professional way of working
- Understanding of purchasing and inventory management principles
- Excellent communication, teamwork and social skills
- Target oriented approach & ability to work independently
- Above average commitment, as usual in competitive motorsport and high-performance development
- Excellent MS Office knowledge
- Perfect English skills (verbal & read/write), other languages, primarily German, beneficial
Terms of Employment
- Long-term full time permanent employment based in Austria, Vienna
- Initial temporary “Fly-in” option (Company owned modern Apartments available) possible
- Home-office is not feasible
- Role and business appropriate competitive salary
