Role
We are looking for a developer who can work within our Product Team, support the team by breaking down tickets into functional pieces of work, build and develop our systems based on the requirements, and help deliver new features/products to our production environment and our clients. You will be an important part of the team, a great communicator, and help challenge ideas in a respectful manner for better outcomes. It is expected you will be vocal in team meetings, demo work completed in reviews with our product team, and use initiative to progress tasks and prioritize workload.
Experience and Skills
- 1+ years of commercial experience in a shared codebase working as part of a team.
- Microsoft .NET (Framework and/or Core), C#, MVC, ASP.NET; experience with NHibernate or Entity Framework desired.
- Enterprise‑level relational database (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Web‑based client‑side technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS); knowledge of jQuery, TypeScript, React.
- Version control (Git, TFSVC, etc.); Git with Azure DevOps is used.
- PowerShell experience is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal communication, proactive, positive, organized, high attention to detail.
- Good understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming and Design.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all software delivered is of a high quality and complies with standards.
- Adopt and follow agreed development processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Contribute to architecture and design of the team's development work.
- Identify, communicate and help mitigate risks.
- Promote and implement relevant industry best practices, processes, and technologies.
- Code and develop feature work.
- Keep skill set up‑to‑date with StarCompliance technologies.
- Create and maintain clear technical and non‑technical documentation.
