Your Shift at a Glance

As the Starbucks Team Leader for our brand new Sheffield location, your first few months will be completely unique. Starting in December 2026, you and your new team will launch and run a fully operational Starbucks pop up container right on the development site. You will be building our local customer base, serving the teams building the hotel, and perfecting your shift operations in a highly adaptable environment. Once the main hotel is completed, you will lead your team straight into the pristine, brand new store for the grand opening.

Why Village?

At Village, we do hospitality a little differently. We are all about personality, genuine connections, and creating lively spaces for our guests to work, eat, relax, and play. We know that launching a pop up and transitioning into a new hotel is demanding. It requires resilience, lateral thinking, and a brilliant sense of humour. If you have the commercial sharpness of a seasoned shift leader and the adventurous spirit to build a team in a container before taking over a flagship store, we will give you the platform to make this a massive success.

How the Village Thrives

  • We Can & We Do: We show up to make a genuine difference and do fantastic work every day, with purpose.
  • We Will: Treat each other with respect and dignity. No ego, no drama. We try our best and look out for each other.
  • We Care: We care about our impact on guests, the community, and each other.

Your Remit: What You Will Actually Be Doing

We do not just need a great barista; we need a brilliant operational leader who thrives in a highly unique environment. We trust you to handle:

  • The Pop Up Launch: Starting in December 2026. You will partner with the Store Manager to onboard your new baristas and run a high energy, high volume pop up container while the main hotel is built around you.
  • The Grand Transition: Moving to the main stage. You will lead the floor through the exciting transition from the container into the brand new store, keeping morale incredibly high while delivering flawless volume under pressure.
  • The Operational Reality: Protecting the standards. You will meticulously manage daily prep, control stock, and step up to lead the entire shift, ensuring every single flat white and frappuccino is crafted to absolute perfection.
  • The Absolute Standards: Setting the baseline. You will relentlessly enforce Starbucks brand standards and ensure strict health, safety, and hygiene directives are hardwired into your team's daily routine from day one.

How We Succeed Together

We do not micromanage. It takes a village, so we believe in Ownership & Integrity, giving you the autonomy to solve practical problems on the fly and own your floor. We Empower & Elevate our people. If you want Room to Grow, helping to open a new flagship hotel from a pop up to a permanent site is the ultimate stepping stone to an Assistant Manager or Store Manager role within the company.

Selling Our Benefits

  • The Compensation: £[Insert Hourly Rate] plus an achievable bonus scheme, because total transparency is how we hire the best.
  • Health & Wellbeing: Complimentary full leisure club membership for you and a friend (worth £1,500 annually), a monthly well-being programme, and an Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Hotel Stays: Discounted stays from £20 based on two sharing across our 34 properties.
  • Food & Drink: 50% discount on Food and Drink purchased on or off shift at any Village Hotel, plus your Starbucks discount.
  • Financial & Extras: Financial wellbeing support via Wagestream, High Street discounts, an Electric car salary sacrifice scheme, and your birthday off guaranteed.

Ready to Build Your Team?

We are looking for a highly experienced shift leader or supervisor who genuinely loves the challenge of a unique, fast paced opening. If you want the thrill of launching our newest location from a pop up container all the way to the grand opening, we want to hear from you. Bring your personality, your drive, and your ambition. Hit apply, tell us why you are the perfect leader for Sheffield Starbucks, and let's see if our energies align.
