Your Shift at a Glance
As a Barista for our brand new Sheffield location, your journey starts in a completely unique way. In December 2026, you will be part of the founding team launching a fully operational Starbucks pop-up container right on our live hotel development site. You will be making incredible coffee for the construction crews, building a local fan base, and having a brilliant time doing it. Once the main hotel is completed, you and your team will walk straight into a pristine, high volume flagship store for the grand opening.
Why Village?
At Village, we do hospitality a little differently. We are all about personality, genuine connections, and creating lively spaces for our guests to work, eat, relax, and play. We know that working in a pop-up and transitioning into a massive new hotel requires resilience, lateral thinking, and a brilliant sense of humour. Previous coffee experience is great, but your high energy and ability to make a customer smile matter much more to us. If you have an adventurous spirit and love the idea of building a store's vibe from literally the ground up, we will teach you everything you need to know about the coffee. Because it really does take a Village.
How the Village Thrives
- We Can & We Do: We show up to make a genuine difference and do fantastic work every day, with purpose.
- We Will: Treat each other with respect and dignity. No ego, no drama. We try our best and look out for each other.
- We Care: We care about our impact on guests, the community, and each other.
Your Remit: What You Will Actually Be Doing
We do not just need someone to push buttons on a machine; we need a high energy personality who thrives in a unique environment. We trust you to handle:
- The Pop-Up Adventure: Starting December 2026. You will serve flawless coffee from our on-site container, keeping the energy high and the queues moving while the main hotel is constructed around you.
- The Grand Transition: Moving to the main stage. You will move with your team into the brand new store, bringing that established, fun culture into a high volume, flagship environment.
- The Craft: Pouring perfection. You will learn the Starbucks menu inside out, crafting every single flat white, frappuccino, and espresso to strict brand standards.
- The Connection: Making their day. You will deliver that brilliant Village welcome, remembering your regulars' orders and making sure every customer leaves with a smile.
How We Succeed Together
We do not micromanage. It takes a village, so we believe in Ownership & Integrity, giving you the autonomy to be yourself on the floor and solve practical problems on the fly. We Empower & Elevate our people. If you want Room to Grow, helping to open a flagship location from a pop-up to a permanent site is the absolute best way to fast track your career into a Team Leader role.
