As part of this role, youu2019ll be responsible for working closely with UK Commercial Finance, EMEA & US teams to deliver successful outcomes and maintain strong financial controls across strategic initiatives, system implementations, and process automation projects. This role combines project accounting with some month-end and reporting responsibilities.
Weu2019ll look to you to bring your leadership experience in accounting at a large, multi-site operational, ideally in retail or hospitality. Youu2019ll be ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified with post qualification experience leading a team. Youu2019ll have knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS with strong understanding of management accounting and financial controls. Ideally, youu2019ll have strong system skills with previous experience working with large ERP accounting and reporting systems such as Oracle and Anaplan XL. Acting as a key leader within the UK accounting team, leading on project-related accounting and reporting activities.
Delivering key reporting, providing insightful analysis and recommendations, while maintaining strong reporting controls
Developing and supporting the team of accountants, ensuring that all tasks and processes are completed and deadlines met
Developing and maintaining accounting systems and processes to produce timely management accounts in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS. Ensuring accuracy and completeness for P&L and Balance Sheet reporting
Leading initiatives to automate and streamline accounting processes, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across reporting and project activities
Collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders to assess accounting impacts of operational initiatives, unusual transactions, new agreements, and projects
Overseeing project-related financial close activities, including accurate journal postings and identifying any issues impacting financial reporting
Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and producing cash flow forecasts in line with the latest working capital projections
Producing monthly and quarterly P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow variance analysis and commentary with related supporting schedules
