As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for providing insightful, actionable analysis and reporting to the functional areas you support. You’ll be a key supporter of business decisions and hold the teams you support to account on delivering key business objectives. The great thing about a finance analyst at Starbucks UK is that you’ll also get exposure to business partnering and working cross-functionally with our teams.

We’ll look to you to bring your previous finance analytical experience in a fast-paced, matrixed, multi-site organisation. You’ll have worked in-house rather than just in practice and have a strong analytical mindset. You’ll be part-qualified with strong communication skills with the ability to flex your style to communicate with individuals on all levels, often explaining complex finance to non-finance partners. You’ll ideally have experience with Power BI and Anaplan but it’s essential you have extensive Microsoft Office experience including Excel and PowerPoint.

The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! Working as our finance analyst, you’ll get involved in:

  • Providing insightful, accurate and timely analysis of their business functions, with an exciting blend of ad hoc and regular reporting.
  • Harnessing the power of data and visualisation to better present information and drive better business decision making.
  • Business partnering with key functions including Operations and PRO (HR) across both the UK and CHAT regions to provide key data and insights for onward decision making and analysis.
  • Being a steward, maintaining a strong control environment and objectively challenging commercial and operational stakeholders in the right way.
  • Being a catalyst for business growth, by understanding the business strategy and analysing commercial opportunities.
  • Contributing to the strategic business direction and act as a stakeholder in the decision-making process.
  • Balancing capabilities, costs, and service levels to support effective joint business planning and provide business expertise.
  • Building a robust and well thought out forecast and budget that aligns to the key business objectives and reflects the operational plans of their business partners.
  • Preparing management reports and insights, liaising with stakeholders to ensure accountability and collaborative business planning.
  • Supporting month-end reporting, providing commentary and explanations for variances in the monthly financial pack as well as supporting in ad-hoc forecasting, quarterly forecasting and annual business planning.
  • Maintaining data integrity in financial systems and manage data-related projects, playing a key role in the data management strategy.

In return, we’ll offer you a competitive salary and benefits that include:

  • 25 days holiday a year (plus Bank Holidays).
  • Flexible benefits – in addition to the benefits listed here we’ll also provide you with an additional 4% to allow you to select the benefits that suit you.
  • Life assurance and private medical insurance for yourself.
  • Comprehensive training (including coffee knowledge!) and access to Starbucks Global Academy (our online learning platform to help continuously develop yourself).
  • Free bag of coffee each week and a 30% partner discounts on food, beverages, and merchandise.
  • Discounts with local and national retailers (cell phones, gym memberships, entertainment tickets, hotels, etc.) through Perks at Work platform.
  • Subscription to Headspace.
  • Home Sweet Loan (Interest-free loans that can be paid back over 12 months to help pay your rental deposit).
  • Bean stock options for all partners (own part of Starbucks!).
  • A free 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme available to you and your family.

So, if you’re looking for a new opportunity, with us you’ll be welcomed, you’ll be challenged, you’ll be inspired. Here you’ll be heard. Because here, you’re a part of it all. Here you belong.
