As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for providing insightful, actionable analysis and reporting to the functional areas you support. You’ll be a key supporter of business decisions and hold the teams you support to account on delivering key business objectives. The great thing about a finance analyst at Starbucks UK is that you’ll also get exposure to business partnering and working cross-functionally with our teams.
We’ll look to you to bring your previous finance analytical experience in a fast-paced, matrixed, multi-site organisation. You’ll have worked in-house rather than just in practice and have a strong analytical mindset. You’ll be part-qualified with strong communication skills with the ability to flex your style to communicate with individuals on all levels, often explaining complex finance to non-finance partners. You’ll ideally have experience with Power BI and Anaplan but it’s essential you have extensive Microsoft Office experience including Excel and PowerPoint.

- Providing insightful, accurate and timely analysis of their business functions, with an exciting blend of ad hoc and regular reporting.
- Harnessing the power of data and visualisation to better present information and drive better business decision making.
- Business partnering with key functions including Operations and PRO (HR) across both the UK and CHAT regions to provide key data and insights for onward decision making and analysis.
- Being a steward, maintaining a strong control environment and objectively challenging commercial and operational stakeholders in the right way.
- Being a catalyst for business growth, by understanding the business strategy and analysing commercial opportunities.
- Contributing to the strategic business direction and act as a stakeholder in the decision-making process.
- Balancing capabilities, costs, and service levels to support effective joint business planning and provide business expertise.
- Building a robust and well thought out forecast and budget that aligns to the key business objectives and reflects the operational plans of their business partners.
- Preparing management reports and insights, liaising with stakeholders to ensure accountability and collaborative business planning.
- Supporting month-end reporting, providing commentary and explanations for variances in the monthly financial pack as well as supporting in ad-hoc forecasting, quarterly forecasting and annual business planning.
- Maintaining data integrity in financial systems and manage data-related projects, playing a key role in the data management strategy.
