We’re looking for a regulatory technician to join our team here at Starbucks EMEA. A place where you’re valued, challenged, and inspired. Where your voice is brewed into everything we do. At Starbucks, we’re all about you.
As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting the implementation and ongoing compliance of all products going into our store environment, from food and beverages to furniture and flooring, and everything in between. You’ll be analysing data, regulatory and market information to make strategic recommendations to the business.
We’ll look to you to bring your passion for implementing regulatory requirements and be constantly looking for ways to improve. You’ll ideally have a degree, or equivalent in food or a related subject with knowledge of ingredient declarations and allergens including label artwork and QUID across the UK and EMEA. It would be great if you have experience in Middle East food legislation and Codex standards, as well as non-food regulations across EMEA, however it isn’t essential we would just ask you bring your passion and desire to manage both food and consumer goods.
The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! Working as our regulatory technician, you’ll get involved in:
- Maintaining regulatory information databases and critical files
- Summarising data, identifying any concerns and providing feedback to key stakeholders across EMEA
- Providing accurate compliance information to internal partners to respond to consumer and other external organisation inquiries
- Ensuring accuracy, completeness and reasonableness of information; follows up with suppliers and markets to resolve problems
- Maintaining a process to remain aware of external developments in performance and regulatory requirements for areas of product responsibility
- Supporting Starbucks on ingredient compliance across the EMEA region
- Maintenance of regulatory manual and policies
- Working with both internal and external stakeholders on labelling compliance for consumer goods, advising on product claims and markings including recycling symbols, ensure correct product labelling, reviewing and approving artworks and product labelling, reviewing and signing off product samples
- Supporting on product registration of food & beverage products
- Feeding into product development briefs and checking compliance at all development stages
