Finance Director - UK and CHAT

As part of this role, you’ll sit on our UK leadership team, with full accountability for finance functions strategy and performance, driving commercial decision making across the business. You’ll safeguard assets, set financial targets and budgets across the UK and CHAT markets, and, as statutory director for the UK operating entity, help unlock growth.

Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively to communicate the company strategy and vision through inspirational leadership to the direct team, other areas of the business, and across our EMEA and US teams.
  • Owning all financial reporting under US GAAP, local statutory requirements, and company policies; signatory of statutory accounts.
  • Shaping finance support for key commercial decisions, balancing risk and opportunity.
  • Identifying and driving organisational priorities and initiatives, leading cross‑functional teams to implement strategic initiatives.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to the UK general manager and leadership team.
  • Developing company strategy to unlock growth and manage risk, considering internal and external insights.
  • Co‑owning the relationship with licencee funders and supporting strategic direction of licencees.
  • Bringing commercial expertise to corporate deals, often leading negotiations.
  • Coaching and developing the team to achieve objectives, challenge status quo, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Ensuring finance systems and processes are robust, scalable, and deliver timely, accurate insights.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience on leadership teams within fast‑paced, complex retail or hospitality environments.
  • Expertise from both franchise and company‑operated, large‑scale, multinational settings.
  • Qualified accountant with confidence to communicate and influence senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to apply US GAAP to complex transactions.
  • Strategic growth mindset with strong attention to detail and a hands‑on approach.
  • Thrives in ambiguity, managing multiple priorities and leading teams through significant change.

Location: London, England, United Kingdom | Salary: £150,000.00-£200,000.00
