Responsibilities include supporting store procedures such as opening or closing the store, cash handling, and safety and security. You will assist partners during high-volume periods to keep the store operating and anticipate and meet customer and store needs by becoming familiar with the store environment and its customers.
Contribute to the creation of a third-place environment during each shift by delivering legendary customer service with a "customer comes first" attitude and creating genuine connections. Maintain a clean and organised workspace for customers and partners while providing high-quality beverages, whole-bean coffee, and food products consistently according to recipe and presentation standards.
Working hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays. All retail store partners begin their careers with us by undertaking an introductory training programme led by in-store trainers and coaches, designed to immerse you in the Starbucks culture and set you up for success. These programmes are delivered in-store and provide partners with the opportunity to learn on the job, supported by their manager.
You don't need previous experience to join our team as a barista; all we ask is that you bring a passion for bringing joy to our customers. Working in a Starbucks store is different from any other job. You’ll be creating genuine moments of connection with customers, making a difference to their day through handcrafted beverages and building relationships with both customers (learning their favourite drink) and your fellow partners in store.
