This role is pivotal in contributing to the success of the UK Business. As the leader within the UK Marketing, Product and Digital Team, and sitting on the UK Leadership Team, you’ll be accountable for ensuring a commercially successful product range across beverage, food, and merchandise is developed in line with market needs. You’ll also develop and execute fully integrated brand and product marketing plans that both retain our loyal customer base and bring new customers to the business through all channels available.
We’ll look to you to bring your experience in developing a world-class product and marketing vision and strategy, but most importantly, your commercial acumen is critical for this role. We’re looking for a leader who understands the link of driving product lines alongside brand awareness, brand affinity/health with retail traffic and profitable sales. The successful candidate will also bring their focus on the customer and their journey with us both online and offline. You’ll have demonstrated ability in leading large-scale, cross-functional projects and proven experience in developing and leading a high-performing team. We’re looking for a strong and dynamic leader who can support and develop a high-performing team to optimize our strategies for growth.
The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! Working as our Director of Marketing, Product and Digital, you’ll get involved in:
- Leading an internal and cross-agency team to formulate a fully integrated through-the-line marketing plan, across multiple channels in line with our annual operating and strategic plans.
- Developing the all-channel customer journey, leading the localization of marketing communication across multiple ownership types.
- Leading the food product innovation across fresh, prepared, bakery, and impulse categories. Developing best-in-class food ranges and category growth, as well as providing a longer-term strategic vision for the food portfolio.
- Collaborating with our leadership teams on pricing strategies and optimization based on key data, insights, and brand positioning.
- Leading and developing the Starbucks Delivers commercial partnerships, including contract negotiation to channel optimization and performance.
- Leading the strategy, development, and delivery of all future innovation to the Starbucks Rewards program in the UK market. Driving acquisition of new users alongside frequency of active users and reducing lapsed user churn.
- Planning and performance tracking of a multi-million-pound media budget – developing timelines and processes from kickoff to execution, ensuring delivery on time and budget.
- Leading cross-channel and out-of-store marketing campaigns to ensure consistent brand voice across all channels and priorities. Being the custodian of our brand voice and positioning for the UK market.
In return, we’ll offer you a competitive salary and benefits that include:
- 25 days holiday a year (plus Bank Holidays)
- Flexible benefits – in addition to the benefits listed here we’ll also provide you with an additional 4% to allow you to select the benefits that suit you
- Life assurance for yourself and private medical insurance for your family
- Access to our leadership bonus scheme
- Comprehensive training (including coffee knowledge!) and access to Starbucks Global Academy (our online learning platform to help continuously develop yourself)
- Free bag of coffee each week and a 30% partner discount on food, beverages, and merchandise
- Discounts with local and national retailers (cell phones, gym memberships, entertainment tickets, hotels, etc.) through the Perks at Work platform
- Subscription to Headspace
- Home Sweet Loan (Interest-free loans that can be paid back over 12 months to help pay your rental deposit)
- Bean stock options for all partners (own part of Starbucks!)
- A free 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme available to you and your family
