We\\\’ve got an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a store supervisor. Find your place as a leader at Starbucks and help us build the brand\\\’s future. Here you\\\’ll take the lead of the shift, working with your team of baristas to create our Starbucks Experience for our customers with high quality service, beverages and products, whilst creating our third place environment. We\\\’re looking for candidates with previous coaching or supervisory experience in a customer facing role. You\\\’ll spend your time running shifts with our customers at the core, through coaching your team and creating a positive learning environment to your partners on shift. You\\\’ll be solving problems in the moment, so any experience you have in leading operational activities in a retail or hospitality environment would be beneficial, as you\\\’ll be responsible, alongside the store management team, to achieve results through making an impact and achieving goals and creating our best moments through operational excellence. You\\\’ll be an ambassador for our partner networks, making sure our partners know, here they belong. The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! In our stores, working hours could include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays. All our retail store partners begin their careers with us by undertaking an introductory training programme led by our amazing in store trainers and coaches to immerse you in the Starbucks culture and set you up for success. These training programmes are delivered in our stores and provide partners with the opportunity to learn on the job supported by their manager. Responsibilities
- Lead shifts, collaborate with the Store Manager, support partners and inspire the Starbucks Experience for our partners and customers.
- Set priorities by leveraging existing tools and resources to determine roles and delegate tasks, focusing on store profitability.
- Inspire and motivate the store team to make every moment right for our partners and customers, including pre-empting and adapting to potential issues and addressing/resolving any that arise to optimise the customer experience.
- Identify teachable moments to share best practices with the team.
- View challenges as opportunities for continuous improvement to drive operational excellence.
- Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
- Ensure all partners follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including cash handling, safety and security to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
- Provide quality beverages and food products consistently by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards and follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in coaching or supervisory roles in a customer facing environment (retail or hospitality) is beneficial.
- Ability to lead operational activities, solve problems in the moment, and work with a management team to achieve results.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a customer-centric approach.
Compensation & Benefits
- £27,237 per year – estimated
- 28 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) plus an additional special day each year
