Responsibilities include supporting store procedures such as opening or closing the store, cash handling, and safety and security. You will assist partners during high‑volume periods to keep the store operating and anticipate and meet customer and store needs by becoming familiar with the store environment and its customers.

Contribute to the creation of a third‑place environment during each shift by delivering legendary customer service with a "customer comes first" attitude and creating genuine connections. Maintain a clean and organised workspace for customers and partners while providing high‑quality beverages, whole‑bean coffee, and food products consistently according to recipe and presentation standards.

Working hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays. All retail store partners begin their careers with us by undertaking an introductory training programme led by in‑store trainers and coaches, designed to immerse you in the Starbucks culture and set you up for success. These programmes are delivered in‑store and provide partners with the opportunity to learn on the job, supported by their manager.

You don't need previous experience to join our team as a barista; all we ask is that you bring a passion for bringing joy to our customers. Working in a Starbucks store is different from any other job. You’ll be creating genuine moments of connection with customers, making a difference to their day through handcrafted beverages and building relationships with both customers (learning their favourite drink) and your fellow partners in store.
