Position Overview
At Starbucks, we want you to take your place at the heart of our community. As a barista, you will help create the Starbucks experience by providing customers with high‑quality service, beverages and products, and fostering a third‑place environment.
You don’t need previous experience; we only ask that you bring a passion for bringing joy to our customers. Your role will include creating genuine moments of connection, crafting hand‑made beverages, and building relationships with customers and fellow partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Support with store procedures, including opening or closing the store, cash handling, safety and security.
- Assist fellow partners during periods of high volume to keep the store operating smoothly.
- Anticipate and deliver on customer and store needs by familiarizing yourself with the store environment.
- Support creating the third‑place environment during each shift.
- Deliver legendary customer service with a “customer comes first” attitude and genuine connections.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace for customers and partners.
- Consistently provide quality beverages, whole‑bean and food products in line with recipe and presentation standards.
Working Hours & Conditions
Store hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
Training
All partners begin with an introductory training programme led by in‑store trainers and coaches. The programme immerses you in the Starbucks culture and prepares you for success.
