This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Cloud Engineer with this specialist consulting firm. They are one of the longest-established players in strategic data science centred on leading-edge AI, supplying to major corporates and academics across the world. Due to significant sustained growth over the past few years, they are looking to grow their technical team further. This is a senior technical role, to lead the deployment and architecture of services in cloud environments, collaborating with technical leadership and delivery teams.
It is ideal for someone who is motivated by shaping proofs of concept into practical, production-ready solutions. It is strongly collaborative and customer-facing, and a genuine chance to play an active and influential role in the overall direction and development of the company. Although focussed on cloud infrastructure, the data science context means there is often an overlap with the data engineeing side, giving you a wider range of skills.
The role
- Own the cloud architecture of production solutions across AWS and Azure
- Design, build and manage infrastructure-as-code
- Develop CI/CD pipelines to support data engineering and ML/AI model delivery
- Influence security, cost-efficiency, scalability and standards
- Lead cloud architecture decisions in project scoping and architecture reviews
- Contribute to internal capability building in DevOps, cloud strategy, and tooling
- Deployment of the latest data and AI tools, including LLMs and agentic AI
The Requirements
- Several years practical experience as a Cloud, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineer
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS and Azure services
- Infrastructure-as-code tooling (e.g. Terraform)
- CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (e.g. Azure DevOps)
- Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting and workflow automation skills (especially in Python)
- Version control (Git), testing, and secure deployment practices
- Range of use cases and applications, in particular from the context of SME or consulting

In return you will receive an earnings in the region of £65,000 per annum, a bonus plus an excellent pension. The organisation is based in the South East of England however the role can be 100% home-based.
