Are you a dynamic Hotel Sales Manager looking for your next exciting challenge? ibis Styles Birmingham NEC and Airport is currently undergoing a transformative refurbishment ahead of rebranding to AC Hotels by Marriott in Spring 2026. We’re seeking an experienced on-property Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales across corporate, leisure, group, and meetings segments during this pivotal phase. This full-time role offers a competitive salary, plus benefits.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth by proactively targeting Corporate, Transient, Group, Leisure, Airline and Meetings & Events segments.
- Secure placements in local and global travel programmes and champion our refreshed meeting and event spaces.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, both short- and long-term, and evaluate their success.
- Build strong client relationships, working closely with Accor and Marriott’s commercial teams and central support to align strategies.
- Represent the hotel at client meetings, networking events, and trade shows.
- Collaborate with hotel teams to generate leads and deliver tailored solutions to client needs.
Qualifications
- You’re a results-driven hotel sales professional with a passion for hospitality and a proven track record.
- 3–5 years’ experience in hotel sales is essential, ideally within branded environments.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and growing market share.
- Strong understanding of the Midlands market, particularly around NEC, Birmingham Airport, and surrounding areas.
- Experience with Marriott or similar global hotel sales structures is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fluency in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively with revenue, marketing, and cross-property sales teams.
- Background in Travel Trade or on-property sales management is highly desirable.
