Established in 1976, Starbank Panel Products Limited specializes in HPL, Solid Grade Laminate, and Decorative Panel fabrication for the interior fit-out industry. We are proud to be the first fabricator in our industry to achieve PAS2060 Carbon Neutral Certification. Our products are utilized in various applications including healthcare, office, and educational furniture components, washroom cubicles, ducting systems, vanity units, laboratory components, shop fitting, kitchen worktops, and fire doors. We fabricate precision panels made from a variety of core materials and high-pressure laminates from leading manufacturers.
Role Description
Due to continued growth and new market opportunities and following an extended period of consistently high levels of workload in the CNC department we are recruiting an additional CNC team to work a shorter afternoon shift (30 hours).
This is a full-time on-site role located in Newton-Le-Willows. As a Homag CNC Operator for the Afternoon Shift, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the CNC machine, performing quality control checks, machining, milling, and ensuring the machinery operates efficiently. You will be working closely with the production team to produce high-quality components and panels.
Required knowledge, skills, and experience:
- Working knowledge of the latest ‘WoodWop’ software
- Capable of reading and understanding CAD drawings
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
- Excellent organisational skills
- Working to a high level of accuracy and quality
- Health & Safety Awareness and experience
Desired Skills:
- Experience of 5S lean initiatives advantageous
- 5 axis experience advantageous
- Enthusiasm/Commitment/ Confident
- Willing to participate in the development of new products and processes
You may be asked to carry out additional tasks within your capability, to meet the needs of the business with training provided if required.
