The company is a SaaS Software company who are looking to transform the software market for mid-market hoteliers. Their software delivers a cost effective, all in one service which streamlines the entire process for their clients. They are an established player in their sector and are experiencing high levels of demand for their solution, which is why they need to hire.
The company is looking to hire a strategic business development manager to take ownership of the mid-market hotels sector in the UK market. This is a Senior position working closely with the European Director to drive success across the UK.
The role will give you the opportunity to expand your experience within the hospitality sector, specifically within the hotels market. Understanding your target client’s business and technical challenges, overcoming objections, identify opportunities, proposing technical and commercial solutions, spotting workarounds and closing business.
You will need to have:
- Four years’ experience, ideally gained within a SaaS business development role within the Hotels, Hospitality or Travel Tech Sector.
- A strong understanding of the systems, technology, process, and operational workflows involved in the day-to-day running of a hospitality / hotel business.
- A consultative selling approach, engaging with all levels within a business to truly understand the business’s needs.
- The ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Expert negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
- Presentation skills both online and face-to-face.
- The ability to discuss API requirements to understand feasibility, timescales, and cost, or to propose alternative solutions.
- Experience of managing your own pipeline from initial identification, nurturing, proposal, demonstration, negotiation, closing, implementation, and handover to account management. Including the metrics require to deliver your agreed targets.
- The willingness to get in front of target customers and attend networking and industry events to expand your customer network.
The company offers:
- £80K base salary.
- £20K commission.
- Flexible working – Home-based with client visits arranged by yourself and occasional office visits.
