We\’re working with a market-leading FMCG business, operating across diverse product categories such as Health & Beauty, Household, Personal Care and Food, is seeking a dynamic Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). This role offers the opportunity to lead commercial operations and drive growth strategies on a global scale.

As the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be instrumental in forging and maintaining strategic partnerships, managing a high-performing team, and ensuring financial performance aligns with business objectives. You will act as a key contributor to the leadership team, siting on the Board of Directors and shaping the company’s future by leveraging innovation and market trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a robust commercial strategy to meet growth and profitability targets.
  • Support the work of Commercial Directors, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to refine and implement long-term business strategies.
  • Monitor performance metrics and ensure the achievement of revenue and profitability goals.
  • Partner with finance teams to optimise pricing strategies and cost structures.
  • Oversee P&L responsibilities for group commercial operations.
  • Build and sustain relationships with key retail partners and stakeholders.
  • Identify market trends, emerging opportunities, and new revenue streams to strengthen market position.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Lead and develop a diverse team across multiple regions, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Support succession planning and encourage professional growth within the team.
  • Drive retention of key accounts through innovative client management strategies.
  • Represent commercial strategies to senior stakeholders, including the Board of Directors.

Required Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior commercial leadership position, such as Commercial Director, Managing Director or similar.
  • Proven expertise in FMCG sectors, specifically working with the Top 4 Grocers.
  • Exceptional team management and leadership skills.
  • A strong commercial acumen and results-driven mindset.
  • High level of analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Adept at building and maintaining strategic relationships.
  • Experience presenting to diverse stakeholders, including executive-level audiences.
