STAR Recruitment is working with one of Edinburgh's leading independent property and development firms to recruit for an Investment Agent at Senior Surveyor or Associate level. We are able to consider candidates from Investment and Commercial agency backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, negotiate and execute self storage transactions across the UK, including site acquisitions/disposals, M&A activity and joint ventures.
  • Prepare high‑quality sales materials, including Information Memorandums for corporate and land disposals.
  • Undertake detailed underwriting and financial modelling of sales and acquisition opportunities using sector benchmarks and comparable data.
  • Build relationships with operators, investment managers and market participants to identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain internal data and financial models to support ongoing advisory work.
  • Deliver clear, insightful advice to clients and new market entrants.
  • Support team marketing and business development initiatives, collaborating with wider internal teams to enhance cross‑selling opportunities.

Key Requirements

  • Real estate degree and/or MRICS, ideally within capital markets, valuations or the alternatives sector.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships and develop a market profile.
  • Commercially aware, proactive and ambitious, with a drive for business generation.
  • Full & clean driving licence.
