About the pub

The Dog Inn is a welcoming local pub, providing a premium food and drink range that combines a quality pub atmosphere, live sports and social occasions. A full internal and external refurbishment is planned to help you drive trade. Applicants should be aware that all refurbishments are subject to final board approval which will be determined as part of the leasing process.

The Dog Inn is located in the historic village of Whittington, around two miles south-east of Lichfield. The village combines traditional character and countryside surroundings with convenient access to Lichfield and the wider Midlands. Nearby attractions include Lichfield Cathedral, Wall Roman Site, the National Memorial Arboretum and Drayton Manor Resort.

Around 1,490 adults live within a 10-minute walk of the pub, rising to 1,856 within a 20-minute walk. The local population is mainly mid to high affluence, with midlife and mature customer groups. The planned premium local offer will give residents and visitors a quality food, drink and social experience in the heart of the village.

Food currently makes up 30% of the pub's total sales.

You can drive trade through a strong food and drink offer, a dedicated dining area, darts and a dedicated sports viewing zone with additional TVs. The refurbished garden and eye-catching exterior will also create more reasons for customers to visit throughout the week.
