We are looking for a proactive QHSE Assistant to support our QHSE Manager in maintaining and improving Health, Safety, quality, and Environmental systems across the business. This role sits between the QHSE Administrator and QHSE Manager, providing a key link in ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and the smooth operation of our QHSE processes. You will be responsible for coordinating compliance activities, maintaining documentation, supporting audits and accreditations, and taking ownership of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) and compliance records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and maintain QHSE compliance records and documentation
  • Support audits and accreditations, ensuring all evidence is accurate and up to date
  • Take ownership of PQQ completion, ensuring timely submission
  • Review and update policies, procedures, COSHH assessments, and risk assessments
  • Track statutory inspections, servicing and testing schedules
  • Manage the ordering and recording of PPE and workwear
  • Prepare QHSE reports and compliance metrics for management
  • Support the QHSE Manager with ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in a QHSE, compliance, or regulated administrative role
  • Strong understanding of, or willingness to learn, relevant QHSE standards and regulations, compliance documentation, audits, and accreditations
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
  • Eager to expand knowledge and acquire new skills
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards)
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or working towards)
  • Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations
  • Contribute to high standards of safety, quality and environmental excellence
