We’re seeking a strategic and commercially astute Head of Commercial to lead UK operations and drive sustainable growth within a highly competitive pharmaceutical environment. This is a pivotal leadership role with full accountability for commercial performance, market access, sales execution, and cross‑functional alignment across the UK business.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll define and deliver the UK commercial strategy, ensuring strong execution, financial discipline, and long‑term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and executing the UK commercial strategy to deliver revenue and market share growth
- Leading sales, market access, and supply chain functions to ensure integrated execution
- Driving pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies across the NHS and NICE
- Overseeing Regional Business Managers and senior commercial leaders, building a high‑performance culture
- Optimising sales force effectiveness, segmentation, targeting, and KOL engagement
- Ensuring supply chain resilience and strong partnerships with wholesalers and homecare providers
- Partnering with Marketing and Medical Affairs to align strategy, ensure ABPI compliance, and maximise impact
- Providing strategic insight and feedback to global stakeholders
- Leading talent development, succession planning, and organisational scalability
About You
- Proven experience in senior commercial leadership within the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record in product launches, P&L ownership, and delivering sales and profit targets
- Strong understanding of the UK healthcare landscape, including NHS, NICE, and market access pathways
- Commercially rigorous, data‑driven, and confident influencing at executive level
- Degree qualified (management, business, or life sciences preferred)
