This fast‑moving digital and creative partner to global pharmaceutical and biotech clients is looking for a dynamic, consultative Business Development Manager to join the team on an initial 6 month FTC. Job Overview
As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving growth across a portfolio of digital and creative solutions for global pharma and biotech clients. You will own the front end of the sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through to proposal development, pitching, negotiation and account growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a business development strategy targeting pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
- Build and manage a high‑quality pipeline across digital, creative and multichannel offerings.
- Lead client discovery sessions to understand challenges, unmet needs and strategic priorities.
- Create compelling proposals, pitches and solution recommendations.
- Collaborate with strategy, creative, delivery and tech teams to scope and price solutions.
- Navigate complex, multi‑stakeholder client organisations.
- Support RFP responses and present credentials to senior client leaders.
- Grow existing accounts through proactive relationship‑building and cross/upsell opportunities.
- Track industry trends and competitor activity to inform commercial strategy.
- Consistently meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience selling digital, creative or communications solutions into the pharmaceutical industry, ideally within an agency or consultancy environment.
- Strong understanding of pharma marketing, medical affairs operations and compliance, with confidence navigating regulated, multi‑stakeholder organisations.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, consultative sales cycles with senior decision‑makers across global pharma accounts.
- Highly commercial, organised and target‑driven, with a solutions‑led approach to identifying and converting opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation and storytelling skills, able to translate client needs into clear, value‑driven proposals.
- Collaborative team player with experience supporting digital transformation, and a working knowledge of data, analytics and performance measurement (global exposure a plus).
