Opportunities across our branches in Birkenhead, Southampton, Falmouth and Glasgow. Want to start a career in marine safety? We run three apprenticeship routes: technical, warehouse and business administration, so there’s an option whether you fancy hands‑on technical work, keeping a busy supply operation moving, or being at the centre of customer service and operations.
Our technical apprentices work in workshops and on‑board vessels, on life‑saving equipment such as fire suppression systems, davits, liferafts and breathing apparatus. Warehouse apprentices learn the day to day of a marine supply operation: goods‑in checks, picking, packing, dispatch and safe handling of chemicals and pressurised equipment. Business admin apprentices handle customer enquiries, quotes, orders and certification data, right at the heart of how Star runs.
You don’t need marine experience to apply – but you do need GCSEs in Maths and English (grade 4/C or above), to be 18 or over, a genuine interest in learning a trade, and a willingness to get stuck in.
