Star Central, which is based at our head office in Blackburn, Lancashire, provides leadership, strategic direction and support to Star Academies and our schools.
Who we’re looking for
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Star Central Governance team, working as our Trust Governance Manager. You will work closely with the Star Central Executive team, Members and Trustees to support the trust governance structure, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and delivering high‑quality governance meetings.
This role requires you to be an exceptional service leader with previous governance and line‑management experience, and to help enable strategic leaders to make effective decisions, challenge and support them.
You will have:
- A degree or significant experience in a relevant field.
- Previous line‑management experience in a professional office environment.
- An ability to develop, communicate and successfully implement guidance and procedures.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- The ability to build effective working and professional relationships.
