About Star Salford Academy
Star Salford Academy is a 5-form entry mixed secondary school for 11 to 16-year-olds, opened in September 2023. Like all Star schools, it has a leadership specialism.
We provide a knowledge-based academic curriculum alongside a diverse leadership programme that fosters character and inspires social action. Our goal is educational excellence, based on the belief that every pupil can become a successful leader.
In its opening year, the school admitted 150 pupils in Year 7, with new Year 7 intakes each year.
Who we’re looking for
We seek a dedicated individual to provide tailored support to our pupils, committed to making a positive difference in their lives and supporting their learning. Your intervention will help create an outstanding learning environment, providing the support pupils need to succeed.
The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent organizational and technical skills, capable of supporting learning and teaching effectively and building relationships within the school and community.
You will have:
- NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent.
- Experience working with children in a school setting.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with students and staff.
- Experience supporting pupils one-to-one, in small groups, and in whole-class settings.
