About The Valley Leadership Academy
is a secondary school for 11 to 16-year-olds in Bacup. We joined Star Academies in 2019 and, like all Star schools, we have a leadership specialism.
We are a rapidly improving school with high ambitions and expectations for all pupils. We provide a knowledge-based academic curriculum alongside a rich leadership programme that fosters character and social action. Our goal is educational excellence, believing every pupil can become a successful leader.
Who we’re looking for
We seek a dedicated individual to provide tailored support to our pupils, committed to making a positive difference in young people\’s lives and supporting their learning. Your intervention will help create an outstanding learning environment, providing the support needed for success.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent organizational and technical skills, capable of supporting learning and teaching and building relationships within the school and the Star community.
You will have:
- A Level 3 qualification (NVQ level 3 or A level).
- Experience working with children in a secondary school or similar setting.
- Experience supporting children with special educational needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).
- The ability to maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- The ability to work effectively within a team.
