About the role

The Business Support Officer supports pupils, teachers and wider stakeholders. As a key member of the school’s business support team, the officer helps to deliver an outstanding learning environment and provides exceptional customer service and relationship building across the school and the Star community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding business support to students, teachers and stakeholders.
  • Manage customer service operations and develop relationships across the school and the Star community.
  • Support financial, HR, business and/or premises operations as required.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with a range of stakeholders including Governors and external agencies.
  • Manage people effectively through regular meetings, setting targets, delegating tasks, and monitoring quality of delivery.

Qualifications and experience

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9‑4 (A*‑C).
  • Management experience within a public or private sector setting.
  • Experience in financial, HR, business and/or premises operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for various stakeholders such as Governors and external agencies.
  • Ability to manage people effectively through delegation, meetings, target setting, and monitoring of outcomes.
