What you will be doing: As a Cover Delivery Driver, you will drive various routes to cover vacations and absences at least 50% of the time. You will deliver outstanding customer service by resolving issues and managing product returns as needed. Your responsibilities include transporting products safely, delivering office supplies on your assigned route, loading vehicles as volume requires, and organizing deliveries using the manifest to optimize routes and schedules. Safety is our top priority. You will ensure safe work practices, foster our safety culture, and solve customer problems—empowering you to make a positive impact daily. You are the brand on wheels, vital to Staples' success in delivering to our customers.

- Safe, courteous driving skills, including navigation and weather adaptation.

- Proficiency with software applications, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with GPS and mobile Proof of Delivery (POD) devices.

Basic Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record acceptable to the company, remaining eligible to operate a commercial vehicle under law.
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening (no THC), and obtain a 6-month DOT medical card.
- Basic English skills (verbal and written).
- Full-time employees must be able to work additional hours and overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, push/pull 400 lbs with equipment, and occasionally maneuver 130 lbs.
- At least 21 years old.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 1 year of truck driving experience with a 16ft or longer truck.
- Experience with high-volume or small package delivery.
