Join our Team as a Teaching Assistant at King's Forest Primary School!

Start Date: 01/09/2026 or as soon as possible after this date

Salary: Grade 10, £26,824 – £28,142 FTE per annum (Actual Salary based on weeks worked and hours: £18,707.23 - £19,626.41 p.a.)

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31.08.2027 subject to a review of the school's budget

Hours: 30 per week (8:45am – 3:15pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break), term time only including INSET days (39 weeks)

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, play-based learning experiences in our specialist Lodge serving children with complex social/communication needs. You will support the delivery of engaging provision, working with children through both adult-led and child-initiated activities. You will be part of a specialist team who champion SEN/D children and inclusion.

Qualifications and Skills

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification.
  • Has experience of working within a school setting.
  • Has experience of supporting children with SEND to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Is a caring, patient and empathetic individual who is committed to helping every child succeed.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Is passionate about inclusive education and enabling children with SEND to thrive.
  • Is enthusiastic, flexible and able to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Fluency Duty

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
