Overview: We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented TOM (Target Operating Model) Specialist to join a leading client in the construction industry. This role focuses on capturing and documenting the "As-Is" state of our business operations, providing key insights into existing processes, systems, roles, and organisational structures. You will play a critical role in supporting transformation initiatives and shaping the future of our business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of current business operations, processes, and capabilities across multiple departments.
- Document the 'As-Is' state, including process flows, organisational charts, data flows, systems, and governance models.
- Facilitate workshops and interviews with key stakeholders to gather insights on operational practices.
- Analyse pain points, inefficiencies, and gaps to lay the foundation for TOM design and transformation.
- Collaborate with business analysts, process owners, and transformation teams to validate and refine findings.
- Deliver high-quality outputs such as process maps (e.g., BPMN), capability assessments, and SWOT analyses.
- Ensure alignment of documentation with the organization’s strategic objectives and enterprise architecture.
- Maintain version control and ensure traceability of 'As-Is' assets throughout the transformation lifecycle.
Required Experience:
- 4–7+ years of experience in consulting, particularly in TOM design, operating model transformation, or enterprise architecture.
- Expertise in various components of TOM, including organizational design, governance, process optimization, and enabling technologies.
- Proven experience in ‘As-Is’ analysis and business process documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior leadership and C-suite executives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- Proficiency with tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and diagramming platforms like Visio or Lucidchart.
