Stanton House has partnered with a leading mid-market private equity firm to appoint an experienced M&A Integration Specialist to work across its portfolio of investments. This role offers a unique opportunity to operate at the centre of a dynamic buy-and-build strategy, supporting portfolio companies through the full lifecycle of post-acquisition integration. You will play a critical role in ensuring acquisitions deliver their intended value, working closely with deal teams, portfolio leadership, and functional stakeholders to execute integration plans effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support post-merger integration activities across multiple portfolio companies
- Develop and implement structured integration plans aligned to the investment thesis
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams (e.g. finance, operations, technology, HR) to ensure timely delivery of synergies
- Identify and mitigate integration risks, resolving issues proactively
- Establish governance frameworks, reporting structures, and KPI tracking to monitor integration progress
- Engage with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives and investment professionals, to drive alignment and accountability
- Contribute to pre-deal planning, including integration strategy and synergy assessment where required
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience delivering complex post-merger integrations, ideally within a private equity or fast-paced corporate environment
- Strong understanding of buy-and-build strategies and value creation levers
- Background in private equity-backed businesses is highly desirable
- Experience from a leading consultancy (e.g. Big 4 or strategy house) is advantageous
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
- Highly organised, analytical, and execution-focused, with a hands-on approach
