Role Overview

We are working with a business that is currently going through a big technology transformation. The client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join in and be responsible for managing the delivery of a portfolio of projects using effective project management practices, strong collaboration, and appropriate governance. This role manages medium to large sized, moderately complex projects, overseeing delivery end-to-end across analysis and development activities. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring projects end to end to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards, while acting as the key link between technology teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage projects from initiation through to delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Manage stakeholders across business and technology, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Track progress, risks, issues, and dependencies, applying change and risk management processes as needed.
  • Monitor financial performance and manage variances against budget.
  • Establish and operate effective project governance and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Support post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement activities.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience delivering multiple projects concurrently in a structured environment.
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of PRINCE2 and Agile methodologies (or hybrid delivery models).
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear, accurate, and board-level project documentation and steering packs.
  • High attention to detail, with a structured and disciplined approach to planning and delivery.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget ownership, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Solid understanding of project governance, reporting, and control frameworks.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
